QuestionsThe five we get asked most
Q.1How far ahead should I book before the cold season?

Late summer or early fall is best. Our schedule fills fast once temperatures drop, so booking by September keeps you ahead of the rush.

Q.2What is covered in an inspection?

We run a camera through the flue liner, examine the crown, cap, flashing, damper, and firebox, and hand you a written report with photographs.

Q.3How do you protect my home while you work?

We spread drop cloths from the entry to the hearth, wear shoe covers, seal off the fireplace opening, and keep a HEPA vacuum going the entire time.

Q.4How frequently should a chimney be swept?

Once a year for most households that burn wood on a regular basis. If you go through more than a cord per season or notice dark flakes in the firebox, schedule a sweep sooner.

Q.5Can you service wood stoves as well?

Absolutely — wood and pellet stoves get a complete cleaning and safety check, covering the stovepipe, baffle, and door gasket.

All set before the first cold snap?
